Beginner wire weaving workshop - Tuesday 18th April 2026 10am-1pm- 5 spaces

I am so excited to start my workshops here on the Isle of Man. I absolutely love working with wires, and I cannot wait to show you how much fun it is!

I would recommend starting with the beginner wire work workshop if you have not worked with wires before as it is a skill you need to have a handle of before you move on to wire weaving.

Wire weaving is different from wirework. With wirework you use a thick wire as base wires holding the stone and making the bail, and you use a thinner wire to hold the thicker wires together, sometimes adding beads or details.

Wire weaving is making patterns using thin and thick wires. In this workshop you will learn how to weave with two and possibly three base wires.

Once you know the technique and how to work with the wires, you can find a massive amount of patterns and can go up to ten base wires and more. There is really no limit. I want to teach you the basics so you can then move on and create yourself.
